  • The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Healthy10 Awards.

Healthy10 Awards

The Healthy10 Awards are one component of the Health Means Business Campaign—an initiative led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and local and regional chambers of commerce across the country to foster strong business engagement in the wellness of our nation’s communities.

The Healthy10 Awards ceremony will honor ten significant partnerships/initiatives involving cross-sector collaborations between local businesses and traditional and non-traditional partners to improve community wellness through greater economic opportunity. This also includes innovative businesses that are supporting the health of their consumers and communities within their core business models and missions.

By showcasing these successful and innovative initiatives, we hope to inspire the business community and other key stakeholders to engage in a national community health and wellness movement and shine a light on businesses that are on the forefront of these efforts. The Healthy10 Awards Ceremony is held in conjunction with the Health Means Business National Summit at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce headquarters on Thursday, February 16, 2017.

The 2017 Healthy10 Awards will have three award categories: Healthy Community, Healthy Education and Workforce, and Healthy Environment. There will be three award winners per category and one entry will be honored as the Health Means Business Partnership or Business of the Year.

Healthy Community

Entries in this category honor strategic partnerships that strengthen the competitiveness of the communities in which they serve through building and/or embedding a culture of health across geographic, demographic, and social sectors. Healthy Community also honors businesses that are creating goods or services with consumer health in mind. For example, food, restaurant, or beverage companies that are creating goods that support quality and transparent products for consumers, access to healthier foods, and/or sustainable practices.

Healthy Education and Workforce

Entries in this category honor strategic partnerships that strengthen the competitiveness of the communities in which they serve through improving educational outcomes and workforce development.

Healthy Environment

Entries in this category honor strategic partnerships that strengthen the competitiveness of the communities in which they serve through developing and/or improving the built and natural environments.

Health Means Business Partnership or Business of the Year

The Partnership of the Year awardee inspires, enables, and supports individuals, businesses, and their partners in public health, community development and other sectors to transform the way people live, work, and play in order to create societal and business value, for the long term.

The Healthy10 Award judges are selected by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.  Judging committees will include a mix of business executives, public sector leaders, academics, and nonprofit and health-care professionals—each of whom are well respected within their respective sector.

There are a number of benefits to nominating your partnership for a Healthy10 Award. We hope your business or organization will participate.
